Hellaby’s corned beef [review]
Thinking maybe I’ll travel the world doing tinned corned beef reviews…
This stuff is nice enough, but it seems like all the fat has deposited at the bottom of the container and the rest is kinda leanish, so it doesn’t really have that smooshy texture that I like, it’s more like that dry canned tuna stuff with a few tasty morsels of fat within.
Taste itself is neither here nor there, it’s decent, but it feels like it really needs to be with something else, whereas the Golden Country stuff is super jelly-ish and succulent and strong on taste.
This one however is proper zero carb, none of that .05% carbs dealio that you usually get. #carnivoreproblems
Also, this shit was super expensive – $8.80 for the 340g can. Most canned meats in this arena are more like $4-6.
5/10 – would use in an emergency/positive cashflow situation/to fill out a salad.
