Solved: Android “Waiting: [phone] is busy” moving files over USB in Windows 10, usually from SD card to main storage

I won’t bother with technical details here, just accept that it is what it is, and any workaround or fix is ridiculously complex.

Here is what works:

Transfer the files to your computer first, then back to the Android device.

I spent too many hours diagnosing this and seeing gazillions of other people having it happen to them, often with this “solution” buried way deep in the comments – typically after dozens/hundreds of posts about why you’re living life wrong and other such helpful internet discussions.

So yeah, just do this one simple trick and get on with life.
