Bacon Explosion
Inspired by a Redditor’s try at Caveman Keto’s recipe, however I’m lazier so I didn’t want a multi-step process – just make it all up then cook it.
Start with a bacon weave:
Bought some “chicken frames” for the skin, the carcasses went into a stock.
Chopped up and spread over the bacon weave – along with some garlic.
Some tomato paste/sauce we made earlier.
Smeared all over, then covered in cheese.
Then covered in mince – pork in this case.
Then roll it all up, and I added random bacon lean to stuff into the sides to keep them from just leaking out too much.
Then into the Weber – or oven, whatever.
A couple hours later.
Food porn ahoy.
Oh a couple bites in it occurred to me to weigh it just for shits n giggles. 692g, so probably about 720g – of mostly fat.
Then I ate as much as I felt good eating, naturally stopped around here – 304g, so about 400g all up.
However figgered I may as well do a fat gorge and see how much I *can* eat. Managed another 160g before the very idea of food was nauseating.
Overall – very tasty, especially the first few bites.
Next time I’d use more cheese and tomato sauce and less mince, also fry the chicken skin beforehand.
