Scorched duck something with scorched veggies.
The duck breast marinating – turns out it was in a sugar-based marinade, oh well…
Interrupted by some sky porn.

Sadly the sugar-based marinade didn’t stack up well to cooking…
All I could think of was advanced glycation end-products, so had to cut the burnt sugar off the fat.
Then sliced into slivers.
Meanwhile the veggies are roasting nicely.
Baste the broccolini in the duck juice.
Annnnd serve.
Took some blood readings before and after (about an hour):
Pre: Glucose – 4.2mmol/L (75 mg/dL)
Ketones – 0.7mmol/L
Post: Glucose – 6.7mmol/L (120 mg/dl)
Ketones – 0.2mmol/L
