Andre’s Cucina striploin steak and shrooms – 30 Day Steak Challenge – Day 26

Part three of Triple Steak Day.

Then the girl turned up, she had a couple drinks with us and wanted dinner. Fair enough, I’ll have a drink while you eat, again…

We went to Andre’s around the corner, a great little intimate restaurant. She’s not much of a red meat eater – I’ve never seen her have more than a bite or two of my steaks the whole time I’ve known her – but lo and behold she orders the 400g striploin.

Well, I had to try some, man this thing is soooo tasty, it sits on balsamic and rocket, and is covered in parmesan. The mushrooms on the side are utterly fantastic with cashews and whatnot, and the combination of these shrooms and this steak are one of indulgent excellence. I think the steak was $38 and the mushrooms $17 bucks, cannot recommend enough, go do it.

…Aaaand as it turned out, her appetite isn’t that big sooooo I kinda ended up eating about 2/3 of it.

So yeah, three steaks in one day – actually three steaks in about 5 hours, somewhere near 1.5kg of meat. 🙂
