@1 month agoWelcome to our first attempt at recording a podcast about fascinating stuff!
Take a listen to the various subjects - mostly backed up by research of scientific studies, but some just talking shit.
1 - Does alcohol dehydrate you? - 5m37s - Ash
Here we look at a study on the intake of alcohol and its effects on dehydration and rehydration.
2 - The glycogen window: can you eat whatever you want after exercise? - 8m20s - Rod
Apparently there’s a window of time where after a workout the muscles are “open” to receiving additional nutrients.
3 - Aging: is it necessary? - 9m26s - Ash
Some interesting insights into how our genes may affect our aging.
4 - Does data have weight? - 4m39s - Rod
Turns out we can measure how much data weighs - theoretically.
5 - CD hidden tracks - 3m51s - Rod
A bit of background info on the old-school way to hide songs on CDs
6 - Being able to see authenticity is innate - 5m28s - Ash
An eye-opening study into how the ability to see how genuine someone is comes from deep down.
The #triplebdrinks spectacular is underway, and underdrunk. @Prakky @TripleB http://t.co/Nzi3iS5O
@1 month agoNot sure what’s more disturbing - that a friend needs a cheap blow-up doll so thought of me first, or that I didn’t flinch when helping her.
@1 month ago10m:45s.
If anyone’s interested, here’s our first take - I got rid of a couple minutes of personal banter but otherwise it’s just a straight candid recording of me and a mate talking shit about a random subject we chose at random - in this case - MEMORY.
Take note in that we just randomly switched the mic on an hour into a conversation when we realised it’d be a good idea to see how we vibe in retrospect with zero planning - so this is all pretty much exactly how we chat without any structure.
In the first couple minutes it’s very scattered as I’m really nervous knowing that what I’m saying is being recorded so there’s lots of ums and aahs and likes and yeahs etc, but eventually it’s pretty natural conversation.
Feel free to criticise.
We need a real life Turing test so people have to demonstrate intelligence and self-awareness before talking to us.
@3 months agoWell done guys… @MikaelLiddy @jaseoz @IAmBiAnCaking @MyerCentreAde @tripleb http://t.co/AliryTZK

@1 month agoMy great great grandmother was involved in the Occupy Mexico love-in. I am the Juan percent.
@1 month agoThe only reason I drink vodka when I go to bed is because it washes the red wine stains from my teeth so I don’t wake up with zombie mouth.
